I picked up a pair of their 6CA7s to replace the Electro-Harmonix EL34s I've had for the life of the amp, and good lord, what a difference. Some how the sound is now better refined and wonderfully fuzzier all at once - no break in required to hear the improvement. On top of that, they're gorgeous with the black polymer-coated fat bottle and come in boxes with hilarious Engrish on them. I highly recommend them.

    just wait,,they will get better.

After they cycle from good to horrible, to ok, to great, to terrible, etc. After 300 hours they will arrive at bliss.

I have a matched quad of the 6CA7 for my goody box. I don't have anything to use them in right now but the price was right.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Yes, actually I had noticed that, but I just attributed it to their being 6CA7 vs EL34.

I look forward to the roller coaster ride of quality resulting in them sounding even better than they do now.

I bought them from this fellow, who appears to just be some random guy running a resale business. The return address was his apartment.

I paid $100 for a matched pair in cardboard boxes, as apposed to the "premium" version with the jewelry box, although he appears to have raised the price to $120 since then. Received the tubes in about a week and a half.
