What do you think is making this pond (here is a hint) GREEN?
I ought to Karma something over this, but I refrain!
What is causing this pond to turn green?
Nobody can figure it out?

well... in the days of the paper mills in New England it was not uncommon for the streams and rivers to run green like that one day, red another, etc. A century ago the Nashua River not too far from my house was one of the most polluted streams in the country; today it is a trout stream, due largely to the efforts of the Nashua River Watershed Association.

I'm guessing that paper mills aren't a likely answer to the titular conundrum, though.

Although the color reminds me of fluorescein (a fluorescent dye), I'm thinking algae - unless, of course, the cause was anthropogenic (i.e., punk kids dumpin' antifreeze in it or somethin').

I'm going to say the green is simply the reflection off the trees surrounding the pond?

It doesn't look green throughout the whole pic...

    Good guess?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Looks like an algae bloom in the shallow portions. It probably wouldn't happen if there were better circulation...

By all means, don't let me slow you down

The squirrels must be pee-ing at an alarming rate to turn that once, gloriously, blue pond green.
