VSX1021 or Elite VSX 50 ??

Hey everyone, its been a while since I've posted something on here, but I came back because of all the great information I got a while back when initially assembling my system.
Current system is set up as follows:
Front speakers - Pomonitor 60
Center - Polk CS10
Side surrounds - Polk monitor 30
Rear surround - Polk monitor 40
Sub - PSW505
TV - 52" Samsung LN52B750 LCD
Xbox 360 and PS3
Receiver - Pioneer VSX1020
Now, I am moving into a house so I can finally stretch the legs of my system and a looking at appropriate upgrades. The Bonus room is 15x17 which is where this equip will be set up. My goal is to move the CS10 and the VSX1020 downstairs in the den with a spare set or Monitor 40s and put a CS2 and a new receiver with the rest of the above set in the Bonus room.
Both the VSX1021 and Elite VSX50 have significant more power draw, and I'm hoping better performance, than my current VSX1020, so I figure I'll be happy either way... just wondering how much extra I should be willing to pay for the Elite receiver. Current price for the VSX1021 can be found around 500...
Thoughts??

I'd personally go with the Elite Vsx33 for $560 on amazon right now, it's got more power and all the features you'd ever need. It's basically an upgraded 1120 with 12v trigger and a few other things and the amps sound much better than the 1020.
-
That is a pretty tempting deal...
The only thing that worries me is, that for better or worse, a lot of the negative reviews from last years models stemmed from the lack of a large power draw... I see the VSX33 is at 400W consumption... but both the VSX1021 & VSX Elite 50 are estimated ~550W ....
Thoughts? -
Just be aware:
If you buy any Pioneer Elite products on the internet, they are not covered by the manufacturers warranty.
If you want warranty coverage for an Elite product, you must buy it from a brick and mortar store. This fact is detailed on their website.
Just a FYI you should know...

Whatever you buy make sure it has pre amp outputs for when the upgrade bug bites.
-
Unfortunately, the only new receiver with pre-outs is the VSX-52 ... which is already costing $900 ...
I was trying to stay under $750 as much as possible...
I really wish there was a new VSX 1121 ... -
Why not getting the VSX 1120K , this is basically the Elite VSX-32 minus the amber display and 12v triggers , and it as pre-outs . I mentioned this model in case you are concerned with warranty , but the best deal is the 33 from amazon as it was stated before . also later on you can ad a amp to your system , like a emotiva or outlaw
There`s also other great deal outside the Pioneer with Onkyo at accessories4less Onkyo HT-108 and they are a authorized internet dealer from Onkyo . -
+1 on the 1120, I had one and it's a solid receiver. I wanted a little more punch and added and amp to it later, always nice to have that option.

I have the Canadian Version 1125  and never looked back . -
I'd love for an 1121 to come out ... From what I've found its bascially the Elite VSX-52 .. No clue when the planned release is though.

The best thing you should do is to get a receiver with pre-outs and then get a emo or a outlaw . then you are rolling  right now it sounds that what you are looking for a car that comes with or without air conditioner  -
The 1120 didn't start shipping out until July last year so the 1121 should be coming out soon. You can pre order it on amazon already but they don't have any information on it yet. The manual for the 1121 was on the pioneer website but it got taken down for what ever reason.Panny 55-st30 plasma

Where does this compare to the Pioneers? Seems like the Specs are pretty good... -
OK - so being new to this, I may have a dumb question...
the Elite VSX-52 has pre-outs for all channels & is a 7.1 receiver... If I want to bi-amp my monitor 60's, I could use the pre-outs for the "Front L & R" speakers to an external amplifier and then bi-amp from there. So I would need a 4 channel amplifier in order to accomodate this??
I'm not sold on if I want to do a 5.1+Bi-amp / 7.1 / 7.1+ biamp .. Just trying to weigh all options and get a handle on all that...
I think I have settled on getting a receiver with pre-outs for the bi-amping possibility or just having the ability to get better speakers down the road... I will wait for the 1121 & compare it against the Elite VSX 52 ... From what I've seen out there so far, there isn't much of a technical difference to justify the extra $150 ... I'd rather use the $150 to pick up the CS2 ... So, in the end, my system should look something like this:
Bonus Room:
Pioneer VSX 1121**
Polk CS2 Center**
Polk Monitor 60's (possibly bi-amped) Front
Polk Monitor 40's as Surround
Polk Monitor 30's as Side surround (if not bi-amped or if I get an amp)
PSW505 x 1 (maybe get another around Christmas)
Downstairs Den:
Pioneer VSX 1020
Polk CS1 Center
Polk Monitor 40's as Front
If I dont use the 30's in the bonus room, I'll throw then down here
Smaller Sub **
**Indicates I need to buy... -
You really don't need an amp, those monitor speakers are very easy to drive and won't present a difficult load to a Pioneer elite receiver. If I was you, I'd forget about the bi-amp thing since it's not really bi-amping and more so a marketing kimmick. Save your coin for an amp when you upgrade the speakers down the road. Enjoy the new tunes when you get it all together.HT SYSTEM-

Well the amp is always good clean power is always good right
Regarding the Bi-amping i`m with you , the monitors aren`t the speakers that need bi-amping  -
Sounds Good Guys ... I'll continue to rock the 7.1 upstairs and do a simplified 3.1 downstairs lol...
I don't really care about surround sound downstairs, just anything to avoid crappy TV speakers. Maybe I'll sell the extraneous equip and just do a surround bar or something.
