Seems like a great product, but I guess I'm going to have to spend more $$ to get it to do what I want... Realized after I got it that I'll need the PS3 adapter. Also, I'm going to need a solution to get it to control my projector, which is obviously across the room from everything else I need to point it at. Any ideas?

The PS3 adapter is like $40 and works pretty well. I had one but ended up moving the PS3 into a bedroom rig that I din't need to operate with a remote. There are a couple of ways that I can think of to get the remote to do what you want to do with the projector, but they might be more a pain in the arse than anything.

    1. You can set the delays for powering on everything. For example, you could have the order to turn on your DVD player first, your AVR second and then a longer delay to give you time to point the remote at the projector to get it to power on.

    2. Does your projector have a way to install an IR repeater? If so, you can plug it into yourprojector and run the repeater to the audio rack. That way when the remote tells the projector to power on the repeater will pick up the signal.

Anyway, hope this helps. Good luck.

I purchased this remote which comes with the dongle that you plug into the usb port of ur PS3 and then you can just throw the remote in the drawer

You add this as a device to you harmony remote and your harmony remote will control pretty much everything on your ps3 except on/off which was no big deal to me since I have to put in and take the disc out I can turn it on/off that way and much cheaper then the harmony adapter for $40.

^^ That's quite a bit cheaper - thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Does anyone have any ideas for the projector, since I have to point the remote toward the front of the room for everything but the projector?

EDIT: Oops, overlooked your response, Shawn. I'll look into those things - thanks!

You can use an IR repeater. Since the PJ is probably behind you anyway, try pointing the remote at the white screen and see if the functions work. In my HT I am able to "bounce" the IR signals off the screen to the PJ without any problems. Everything works and has done so since setup. I'm using the Harmony One with this. The IR repeater is made by Speakercraft is installed for my HT equipment. I am able to point the remote at the junction box located in the front of the room and all the equipment receives signal located in the very back of the room. Links of the repeater are listed below.
