Any rcomendations on settings for the subwoofer. What should i set the phase switch to? It says to set the speakers to small??
Thanks

Can anyone shead some light on the difference between a subwoofer cable and a digital rca cable?? Should i be using a subwoofer cable for my sub....i have the RM705 system.
Thanks -
i use a subwoofer cable and it works perfectly. See manual option #1. A single cable hook up to either L or R is fine. Splitter not required.

Yes, set the speakers to small. If you receiver does not have a calibration mic, then sit in your desired seating location and try both settings for the phase. See what you like best. If you set the crossover on your receiver, then set it to the max setting. If you need to manually set the crossover it is probably 120 hz.

Use a subwoofer cable or you can separate a regular RCA stereo cable. A digital cable has different impedance (75 ohm) than analog (50 ohm).

why can't i start a new thread??? My question is the sub that comes with the RM705 set is listed as 50watts on Amazon and other specs. Polk doesn't seem to list the specs in the manual or on their website. I look at the back of the sub and it say 100watts. Anyone know what it really is? I'm inclined to believe the stamp on the sub.

I believe it is 50 watts continous and 100 watts peak.
