The tweeters on those things are simple heads above the other Polks. Unfortunately they're out of my price range at the moment. However, I really like Canadian speakers for their value in their lower tier products.

    If you like Canadian and you can find a used pair of Energy RC-10s or their predecessors in that price range...give them a listen. However they'll probably be closer to 300 a pair?

    I'm pretty firm on my budget and 300 seems far from it so I won't probably be budging on getting Energy RC's. Thanks for the advice though. I'm mostly going to be filling a modest living room with some background music with the occasional cranking, so nothing too extravagant is needed. But I would like to have something nicer than just plain PA speakers.

    My brother has 4 RTI 4's on Canuck Audio Mart for sale asking $200.00 for all of them. I know you prefer LSI's but I doubt you'll gt them in your budget.
