I have a 5.1 set up as such. LR are floor rti 12(changing to wall LC265i) center is csi5(changing to lcic). sub 505, and my rear are tc60i.

I have the front and center channel on the floor in front and the center under tv on stand. tv mounted on the wall. the new speakers will go in the same spots but mounted.
My rear( and future middle) are in the ceiling. Is mounting the surround and rear in the ceiling good? I couldnt really put them in the walls because the room is off set where the tv sits and the far wall has window in it.

If room configuration offers no other option, then celing it is.
