Decent 3D DLNA blu-ray player

So - I've been using a PS3 for media streaming (videos anyway) for the past few years. I rip blu-ray movies and encode to h264/ac3 using the m2ts container. My sister's LG BD 570 plays all the 720p and 1080p files perfectly over the network (wifi N no less) (streaming via TVersity but PS3 Media server works also).
My cousin bought an LG BD670 (3D) and oddly - it sucks. It takes forever to buffer 720p material (over a gigabit lan or wifi lan) and doesn't support 1080p videos. Makes no sense that a higher / newer model would have less functionality.
My #1 recommendation to him was to get an Oppo BDP-93 as it seems to support everything. I'm looking to find other alternatives as well - one issue I'm finding w/ a random sampling of ~$200 - 300 blu-ray players is that they limit streaming to 720p or they just don't support things like mkv and m2ts.
Of course the other option is a streaming media player.
Any suggestions on either?
Thx Guys.

Check out the Panasonic BDT-310. It'll be in stores in the next couple of weeks. I know that's what I'm looking at as an Oppo 93 alternative. It's DLNA compliant, does MKV and is iOS controllable. It can be had for around $200 if you look around a bit.
Do a quick search on Google and you'll find some great reviews on this unit.Main Setup
Fronts - Energy RC-50's
Center - Energy RC-LCR
Rear - Energy RC-R's
Subs - Gone...
AVR - Pioneer SC-37
Blu-Ray - Sony BDP-S360
TV - Vizio E550I-B2
Media Server - Mac Mini -
Thanks for the suggestion - thankfully I found one that works yesterday. The LG BX580 - I suspected that it would work as my sister's LG BD570 plays everything too. It has 3D and plays 1080p MKV, M2TS, DiVX HD, etc. with no issues. And it worked fine with both TVersity and PS3 Media Server in my place and his house.
Oddly - it seems that the LG BD6xx series doesn't do as much as the 5 series with regards to DLNA. Said cousin is going to pick up another BD 670 and test it out and make sure his unit wasn't defective.Dali Optikon 1Mk2
