Hello guys,
Recently I've seen this resurgence in the Dynaco ST-70 AMPS. There all over
A-gon and E-Bay and was wondering if the famous Dynaco A-25 speakers are the same co. Usually you see the A-25 made in Denmark but the amps I think are U.S.Can someone explain the difference if any w/ these 2 products.

The Dynaco A-25 was built by Seas in Denmark and distributed by Dynaco. There was some thought that David Hafler may have had some input on the A-25 design. The ST-70 sold about 350,000 units so it was possibly the most popular tube amp made. With the resurgence of tube appreciation and the many rebuild platforms avaliable you will see alot for sale. Originally Dynaco was in the business of transfomers and the ones on the ST-70 excellent and very sought after. I believe the A-25 sold almost 600,000 units also. Same company - designing and selling their own electronics and also acting as a distributor for the Seas "A" series speakers (A-10 throught A-50).integrated w/DAC module Gryphon Diablo 300

There are small "Dynaco" A-10's out there from Panor that have no relationship to the original A-10 whatsoever. I have a pair, and have had several pair of "real" A-10. The Panor A-10 is a 4" two-way w/ a rear circular port. The real Dynaco A-10 was/is a 6" two-way with the horizontal port on the front baffle.
I don't know if it stands today (with the tube renaissance of late) but at one time, the ST-70 had outsold all other tube power amps COMBINED. The PAS2 or 3 outsold all other tube preamps COMBINED. And the A-25 was the largest selling speaker of all time. -
Wow! And all this time I thought "Dinoco" was a Pixar creation.
Always a pleasure to see the depth of knowledge and experience come out that CP possesses. Helps me forget the less informative moments.
