Need recommendations on a 27" flat panel

This is for a gift to go in my 11 year old daughters room to replace her old 27" CRT. Budget needs to be around $300-$350. Seems NewEgg doesn't have a lot to offer in a 26"-27". Can someone recommend something? Not real sure what other specs to list. She has a DirecTv DVR, Xbox, small surround set up, VCR.

    I would think you could easily find a 27" Vizio LCD for that budget or maybe less.

    I have one...love it.
    Perfect for my needs.Read some reviews on it.
    Costco also carries it-I got it for 299.00 w/the 50.00 rebate (don't know if that's still going on though.

    Not sure how set you are on the size, but I think you will find the 32" is the new standard and has replaced the 27". I've seen some 32's for as little as $250 (720p)

    I used to really like the Samsung LCD's but the company has failed miserably in standing by their product. Do the search , the internet is loaded with Samsung LCD horror stories from disgruntled customers whose Samsung LCD's broke and Samsung told them so sorry...
