Indiana Jones and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra were my most favorite movies and I like their sound track. Also Alice in the wonderland that has won Oscar this year.

Good call on The Fountain. Though not an obvious choice, I found it to be absolutely stellar.

For me... the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack and the music from Castlevania:Symphony of the Night are both at the top of the pack in their respective categories.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

As I posted in a nearly identical thread Eric Clapton's soundtrack for the movie Rush is excellent.

Years ago I also picked up the soundtrack from The Fugitive based upon a strong review in Stereophile. It is unexpectedly good...
    More later,

Opinions vary about the quality of the film itself, but Alex North's score for Cleopatra is a masterpiece. Available here in a very well remastered 2-disc set for about $18.
