    Some of you guys have been here a lot longer than I and so you've undoubtedly established some sort of rules although I gotta tell you they don't appear to be very orderly rules ...

    IMHO ...

    - When you say you'll ship then you'll ship ...

    - When you get out of line you come back in at the bottom ...

    If I was in RT1's spot here I think I would be rather annoyed at this point ...

    Additionally I think that for future reference at least, a sticky post needs to go at the top of this thread laying out whatever the rules are. I personally don't care what they are but all should know in advance how they work and be on the same page ...

    I will ship them if the buyer wants. I was trying to say that I will not drive a long distance to meet the buyer. Sorry for the confusion.

    I WOULD like the AR's however, I'm assembling a rig for the lovely Wendi and I'm really wanting a pair of floorstanding SDA's.

    The AR's for me would be more of a hoard type thing

    If the original packing material on the 2b's is like the RTA's (which I'm sure it is) it is NOT in any way shape or form sturdy enough to ship as is.

    I only say this because I just delivered a pair of RTA12C's to Mark in the original packing and it offers little protection. If the eventual owner opts to have them shipped, I'd insist that they be double boxed.

    Ok. I wish I hadn't gotten into this situation. I know how we all love these threads and how unfair people treat each other. If we go by the original thread, Hossier is next in line before reeltrouble. I believe Hoosier should get them, but I would like to know what reeltrouble thinks. I just want to give someone a good deal on a nice set of speakers. I love this forum and don't want to be alienated, or cause anyone else to be alienated over a set of speakers. I feel the same way I felt when I started dating my wife and my friends all said a girl shouldn't come between friendship. Please let me know what the Polk community thinks I should do! Thanks, Jeff

    I could care less since I'm not getting them:rolleyes:.

    My post proir to this one was a feeble attempt at humor.

    As I see it the only RULES are to try and treat each person as fair as possible. It seems to me that warlock is trying to do that. Anytime you post here your are attempting to do a fellow polkie a favor. Chances are you can do much better ($ wise) by going straight to E-bay or Audigon. The only reason I am posting here on this issue is because warlocks asked. I would be all over this if I thought he was intentionally trying to screw someone...but I don't think that is the case. As for my opinion...since Acdds had not officially passed on the deal.... musings by Hoosier were just that. He technically was not up to bat. He never said he didn't want them just that he should be in the "lower end of the pecking order"... which he was. When his time came he decided to exercise his option to make the deal. Not what some may want to hear...but I think it is what happened. I don't know hoosier and I don't know reeltrouble and have never had even an email with either. I sure they too are both honerable folks. If hoosier doesn't want them then Reel has the honor. I can see where there can be difference of opinion...but hey...It's just a message fourm on the internet...In THIS case, whatever warlocks decides will be ok with me.

    Well, this is interesting.

    I don't see where Hoosier said he didn't want them only that he didn't want to be greedy, but then decided he really wanted them regardless. My understanding was that Reeltrouble wanted Warlocks to drive to NC or SC to meet and wasn't interested in having them shipped. Since Hoosier was before Reeltrouble and Warlocks really doesn't want to drive all that way and Hoosier can have them picked up, I say that they are Hoosier's to buy. I think Warlocks is in a tough place and wants to do the right thing. If I was in his shoes I would take the pick up buyer and make my life a little easier. Warlocks should not receive any flack for making that choice.

    Hey, warlocks1 one could be refusing to send merchandise that he had been paid for because he had sold it to someone else and was out of cash because his wife was leaving him or something, or suggested that someone return a broke refurbed AVR bought on U-bid to CC because...well, because CC sucks and it wouldn't really cost them anything or return a sub and get more than he actually paid for it by claiming he didn't have a receipt and taking advantage of good customer service by a merchant. He's not doing any of those things. No one would do that stuff.....

    It would appear that no one seems to either understand or agree with the point I was making.

    However, next time you're some place waiting in line and four or five people that are in line in front of you get out of line please make sure to let them back in line in front of you just as you are about to check out.

    All of this will turn into a non issue if and when RT1 decides he doesn't want these, but what I don't understand is why no one questioned or objected to his post last night if it wasn't on target.

    I apologize for butting into an issue that I really have nothing to do with, but I felt a need to point out what had transpired since no one seems to either recall the order of events or understand them even though they're still in plain view.

    That's my last post in this thread and probably the last I bother to view this section.

    I'm chaulking part up to posts vs. PM's. warlocks is the only one with the full picture. That said...

    hoosier never posted, "I'll take them". I only see "thinking" and the condition of no non-SDA owners being interested. IMO, at the point when acdds passed, they fell to reeltrouble1.

    I was out of town since friday with no computer access, anyway, I am back. For the record I never wanted warlocks to drive to the carolinas. Show me one place where I said that.

    Hoosier was in front me, know doubt about it. He gets the speakers. End of story. I will wait until another set of SDA becomes available.

    No problem F1, everything is cool.

    I am starting to put a 2ch together. I have a nice set of RT55i that I can use until I find a set of SDA speakers. I only became aware of the SDA effect through this forum and am really wanting to hear for myself what its all about. I think this was a terrific deal but like Warlocks said "they are only speakers".

    I have been in touch with both Hoosier and Warlocks and consider the whole matter closed. :cool:
