Members of AudioKarma - please forgive the cross post - but I had to..

You see, I picked up a McIntosh MC2100 today - My first real high end amp, and I'm hearing things I have never heard before.

Wow... just wow..

Listening to Pat Metheny again - the Question and Answer CD.

The detail and clarity is amazing. Its like I'm sitting in the room. When Roy Haynes hits a tom I literally am turning my head to look at it... The Timbre of teh snare drum - I can just visualize it (being a drummer myself) - the snare wire attack... details I have never heard before.

The upright bass, I mean you can hear the string rattle and his fingers sticking to the strings at times...

Wow...

The Polks are doing an amazing job, the recent re-cap really opened up an already great set of speakers.

I'm almost afraid to get into SACD if regular CD's are this amazing on a good system.

Tonight is definitely a milestone in my Audio appreciation journey...:music:

Those a great times! Enjoy! I love it when the band plays in my living room! They never make a mess or trash the place either. That's just the audience:wink:
