Salamander alternative?

So I've been looking high and low for a TV console. Currently I've got a TV stand, with a seperate audio tower. I'm trying to clean things up a bit, and want to get rid of the seperation/cable management issues with having 2 units.

I have yet to find anything in a furnature store that will work. Either they think my receiver is 12" deep, or nobody uses a center channel anymore. I've checked HOM, Slumberland and most of the other larger stores.

The best and only option I'm really seeing it the Salamander Quad, with the double-width shelf kit for the center. But at roughly $1700 once I add sides and a couple doors for the front, I feel it's worth more research.

Long story short - are there other companies similar to Salamander? Are they (Salamander) known for being decently priced, or are they considered the cream-of-the-crop and that's why people like the company?

Thanks for the info, hopefully I'll be ready for something soon.

I have one of the Studio Tech - Open Racks. The wide racks have room for a center channel. The company has been pretty decent to deal with over the years and have great customer service.

Take a look at BDI USA stands. They make VERY nice stands and cabinets. I would highly recommend them. Do a search of their website and look at some of their offerings .... likely you will find something you like. They are on the more expensive side however for ventilation and wire management systems they are worth it.

I like the BillyBags line of racks. They will custom make one for you if you don't care for any of their designs.

I have an Elite stand but I'll be damned if I can find their website. They offer high end stands, racks and systems. I'll keep looking. They have some very unique designs and the quality is very good. Mine is extremely sturdy [and good looking, might I add].

If you don't need things to be symmetrical you could get away with this:

Looking at measurements quickly I believe the center could fit in a shelf or even on the top shelf in front of the TV. These racks are relatively inexpensive and you can add additional shelves to make it taller and create more shelf space.
