Hello guys, Once again I have time on my hands and thought of another thing to do w/ my gear. After sucessfully running RCAs from puter to my Yamaha and clearing the horrendouds humm I had, the sound was absolutely amazing.
But now I was wondering if I can get the streaming music from my YamahRX-V665 to my Onkyo p-301 for running it through my 2-channel system. Why, for the same reason I went back to 2-ch, for the quality of music. It will only get better when I upgrade my speakers to either the Klipsh Heritage line or these Polk SDSs I've been hearing about w/ the connecting cable and the left- right placement. So would it be possible to do this, I'm not one to just insert jacks all over the place before I know what could happen. This is a simplfied rear of the Onkyo P-301_________Thanks LW

Connect another set of RCA's from your Yamaha's Zone 2 out to an input on your Onkyo. For ease of use I would use CD. Then you just need to turn on Zone 2 on your Yamaha when you want to listen to music from your computer daisy chained to your 2 channel rig.

In this same manner you can I think listen to your computer music on your Zone 2 while watching something else on Zone 1.

Endershadow, thanks a bunch your idea absolutely worked w/ zone 2. My cd port was already being used so I went to tuner and got the same results.
    Thanks again.....LW

Squeezebox. Get the Touch, it's still on sale for a few more days at Crutchfield.com for $274 shipped, then use coupon code 3a825 for another $20 off. $254 including shipping is a great price for the Touch.

Just my two cents, but the Squeezebox makes streaming from your computer to hifi system so much simpler. Remote control, etc....
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
