Blackstone TL3s for surrounds w/ LSi9s?

Hey - would the TL3 speakers work as surrounds mounted on the wall w/ an LSi9 / C based HT setup? This for my cousin - he's been debating how to go with surrounds. LSi7s / FXs will need stands and take up space (and are more exp) - it looks like the TL3s use the same tweeter / woofers as the LSi series and seem robust enough spec wise. Sub will most likely be an Epik Legend (per my other thread).

Does this sound like a doable option? This is for a 16 x 18 room. Speakers would probably mounted behind and to the sides of the main couch. The TV / HT area is not exactly centered with the room - the entrance is an open area to the right side.

Thanks

I thought about that myself. Folks scared me away from it. I'd like to see how it works out. A sound calibrating AVR should be able to blend the two different speakers.

I had an AVR and it did an incredibly job of balancing my Cerwin Vega center with my M70 fronts. I didn't notice it until I returned the AVR and went with my old one again.

Hmmm okay thanks guys. We realized that if the rears were mounted on the walls, they'd have to be done so at odd points on the wall due to the way the HT area is positioned. ie. it's not exactly in the center of the room. So scrapping that idea - most probably will go w/ bookshelves on stands.
