Polk SDA SRS 2.3

Totally stock except for the RD0-194s.
If there's a stock pair (except for the tweeters) of these in better condition (physically or sonically) I'd like to see and hear them.
The 3rd picture shows a very slight bowing of the left channel's grille. It isn't perfectly plumb towards the center and so the treelocks aren't perfectly snug into the grille holes. VERY minor but I want to mention it.
I'm in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I doubt that shipping will be a reasonable option with such large speakers. If you can make it here I'll certainly help to carry them to your vehicle. I also have a handtruck if you don't feel like carrying them or injury prohibits.
$800.00.

Those are absolutely beautiful and I'm really curious how they sound versus my fully modded version of original 4-ohm '86 SRS 2's.
I'd love to get my ears on them, and being 20 miles south of Cleveland, you must own one of the closer sets to me in the whole of the Polk universe

Yes, I live on the west side of Ann Arbor.
I also have a pair of modded SRS 2, although not to the TL specs, which I believe is what you did with yours. I have to say that I don't notice a great deal of difference between the two sets, and in fact it's the similarities that jump out at me when listening.
My email address is aclarson@comcast.net. You're more than welcome to stop by and see/listen to them the next time you're in the area ... I mean this side of the universe.

That's not a bad drive at all and I appreciate the invite. I'll touch base if it works out before you sell them.

I appreciate the kind words. These are the best kept vintage Polks that I've owned. I bought them from a nice gentleman in the Indianapolis area roughly six years ago. I was expecting them to be in very nice condition based upon his description and based upon the photos he provided, but I didn't expect them to be this nice.

Are the upper & lower mid drivers different than the others? I am sure tempted on these. Couldn't afford them back when I bought my RTA15's.
Have you sold these yet? -
Those are the stock drivers, as are all except for the upgraded tweeters. Polk decided to use "donut" drivers in those positions to, and I'm all for being corrected here, tame an over-abundance of midrange and to increase bass response.
No, these haven't been sold nor have I been contacted.

And that's EXACTLY the right way to do it. The new RDO's perfectly cure the improper 13kHz response of the original SL2000's, and I've found the original 6.5 midwoofers to be just a tad more pleasing to the ear than than the (still excellent) replacements. It was so long ago since I heard these back in 91 when I bought my 15Tl's.
Is there any way you could describe the difference in sound compared to the 15's? I know that my new Rogue amp would drive these nicely. -
Very nice looking speakers. Come on there must be someone out there that could pick these up. Nice price too.
Charley, I am positive you would love them.

Also, were these considered TL's? I thought for sure that these came with the 3000's like my 15's. -

These are the early 2.3's with the "donut" drivers at the top and bottom of the 4 row mids. The TL's were a new design with the same cabinet size but the drivers were opposite of the plain 2.3's.
