I've seen a couple modded jolida's on Audiogon over the last couple months from different companies but all seem to mod everything the same. Does it really matter which company mods it? Is one company better than the other? This is a modded one I was looking at.

Thanks

Wonder when those mods were done. Looks like good stuff. I used the Multicaps in the signal path in my dac and really like them.

Since they used (7) Black Gates (both N and C) I'm guessing this isn't a recent mod as Black Gates in any quantity are very hard to find these days. I suppose one could have stock piled for a rainy day.

Not a big fan of using esoteric wire but the other upgrades look nice and should make a difference. The EH tubes aren't anything to write home about.

I am not sure at the jolida.net price you could do those same upgrades youself for that price.

I have had mine for a week and have done the sound dampening with left over Dynamat extreme and a pair of treasure 12AX7s.

Next focus area will be PS then output side.
Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
Preamp: Joule Electra LA-150 MKII SE
Amp: Wright WPA 50-50 EAT KT88s
    Analog: Marantz TT-15S1 MBS Glider SL| Wright WPP100C Amperex BB 6er5 and 7316 & WPM-100 SUT
    Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs

I could get this modded jolida for the same price as the stock one on Jolida. Net. Was the stock Jolida a big step up from the 1072?

    Thanks

At under $600 just thought this would've been a better value.

    Thanks

Be cautious not to have the good sound modded right out of them. I've read that can happen.

    Two Channel Setup:

    Speakers: Wharfedale Opus 2-3
    Integrated Amp: Krell S-300i
    DAC: Arcam irDac
    Source: iMac
    Remote Control: iPad Mini

    3.2 Home Theater Setup:

    Fronts: Klipsch RP-160M
    Center: Klipsch RP-160M
    Subwoofer: SVS PB12NSD (X 2)
    AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
    Blu Ray: Sony BDP-S790
    TV Source: DirecTV Genie

Guess I'll get a stock one and then mod it later down the road. This way I'll be able to hear the difference.

Leroy, get the Parts Connexion one on Audiogon. Chris Johnson knows what he iis doing. Without question, it will be an improvement over the stock version.

Make sure to upgrade from the stock power cord, it will make a huge improvement.
