For those DFW area residents that might not be aware, KERA bought 91.7 and changed it from Christian radio to an eclectic mix of rock, both new and old, with various other generes sprinkled in. In one day, I heard Adele, Florence and the Machine, Foo Fighters, the Doors, and Ray Charles. It's an interesting mix, and since it's public radio, it's commercial free. So now I finally have 3 stations to listen to; 89.9, 91.7 and 101.1.

A few years ago down here in Houston JD was doing the afternoon show on 97.1 - another Clearchannel station. He was streaming from Dallas -pretty clever I thought. I used to look forward to his Saturday night show - Dillon's Free For All - where he would play whatever he wanted. He would always open with Santana's Lightnin'.[
