I'm glad you like your Zu's. I've read many conflicting reviews about them. It seems that people that have heard them either love them or absolutely hate them. I've never heard a pair myself, but would like to hear what all the fuss is about.

I got the Omen Def speakers and they are pretty awesome. Over the weekend I'll get them moved into the big room and do some listening. Right now they are in my entry way which I am starting to think of as my speaker audition room...
    Vinyl, the final frontier...

Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... :D

I have the natural maple Omen Defs, they're replacing my SDA 1Cs. I note that the speakers require substantive burn-in, I did mine 24/7 with the Isotek System enhancer disc over three weeks (expect to hear some congestion, etc. until you get about 350-400 hours on them). I found speaker placement including toe in, speaker overall height, front-to-rear tilt, and distance from rear and side walls all were important in coaxing the best from the Zus, but finally made the speakers disappear into the room and contributed to being rewarded with an almost effortless musical reproduction. YMMV, and happy listening.

I moved these in the big room a few weeks ago. They are awesome speakers! They have the same exact character as my avantgarde horns. They are forceful, delicate, completely fill the room and have a bass line which is very pleasant and tactile. They are not as detailed as the horns and do not sound quite as mature. Anyway, if I had to use these instead of the horns I wouldn't be too put off. Three thumbs up!
