Snow Patrol anyone?

I've learned via Pandora that they're more than just Chasing Cars... some pretty solid tunes, IMO. So, if you're a fan, what's your favorite album?

I think you are right
Freakin' spammers! And I thought I'd found someone that agreed with me! -
I think they're pretty good. The first song I heard was 'spitting games' - that album is pretty good. Mae is good too...Tisbury Lane is a great song. Destination Beautiful was a great album...wasn't so thrilled w/ the one after that though.
Have you heard Guster?Dali Optikon 1Mk2
NAD D3020 V2
Schiit Bifrost 2/64
..the rest are headphone setups. -
Snow Patrol is pretty awesome, AND they have at least one SACD release. I know "Final Straw" is on SACD, and it was a fantastic sounding CD in the first place.
Also look into Travis and/or Feeder.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Seems like I've got some more listening to do... I've heard a little Travis, Guster, and Iron and Wine and liked what I heard. Haven't heard the live Iron and Wine stuff, though. I'm also looking forward to checking out Mae, Feeder, Something Corporate, and Straylight Run. Thanks guys!

I had another two bands that were on the tip of my tongue that have a very similar style to Snow Patrol, i'll have to update again later.
I'm a little surprised at the Something Corporate recommendation, but if you like it, you like it. I used to listen to them a lot and the singer's solo project "Jack's Mannequin," and it's not real like Snow Patrol, but it's fun music.
Feeder has a LOT of stuff out there, and they're very versatile, so if you don't like the first couple tracks you hear, keep digging.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I actually like most things by Snow Patrol EXCEPT chasing cars... funny how terrestrial radio does that to you.
I'll have to check out some of these other recommendations. Pandora One is great for work, but I often forget to check the artist behind the song I'm digging until it's too late. -
Something Corporate has the same type of feel for me, but they are different styles. Most of their music is something you could sit back and enjoy, so it was at least worth throwing out there. I'll be honest, I can't quite remember any of their songs off the top of my head (probably been about 4 years since I listened to them regularly), but they were in the same rotation as Snow Patrol for me many, many times.
Straylight Run has several songs with the mellow tone, but they also have a few upbeat ones as well as a few interesting mixes. This is the band that the guy that left Taking Back Sunday formed. They are on top of the list for my all-time favorite bands.
Mae's first 2 albums were great, but their last one (Singularity, maybe?) was OK. They are losing some of the touch I think they had originally.
Its been a while since I've listened to any of them to be honest, but I've been getting the itch as of late. It's a shame all my CD's are in storage right now.
"I Kissed a Drunk Girl," "Cavanagh Park," "Globes and Maps," "Hurricane," "Straw Dog," "If You See Jordan," etc etc etc. Been awhile since i listened to them. I honestly liked Jack's Mannequin better.

Yeah same here..whatever it would be the act of chasing cars is really funny. -

Songs I like from Snow Patrol are: Set the fire to the third bar, open your eyes, chocolate, and just say yes.
Other bands I would recommend are: Phoenix, Bloc Party, Imogen Heap, Sufjan Stevens, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
As far as Something Corporate, my girlfriend likes them more but I prefer Jack's Mannequin.Setup:
