I just got his cd "Trouble" yesterday and after listening to it for 5 minutes, I knew it was something special. His lyrics are moving and powerful. Intimate. He has only made 4 cd's, but has the talent of Bob Dylan!

The recording is excellent. Natural sounding....

For $5.50 used on Amazon this is a no brainer. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/Trouble-Ray-LaMontagne/dp/B0002S947K/ref=pd_krex_shvl_1

I hope no one takes this the wrong way, but I had heard him a hundred times before actually seeing what he looked like, and was amazed that he was a scrawny bearded white guy. Would have bet serious money he was a big black guy.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I have all of his cd's his newest one, is still in my rotation. It is actually better then the trouble cd. Gossip is also another amazing cd. I have the LP of that one actually LOL.

I guess the commercial they are using his songs in now is finally helping get some of his music out..

Every time i have seen him though he sells out. I have seen him 5 times live.

One time he had the best line ever. Now for people who have not seen him live, he hardly says a word. Just comes out and pours his heart out into his music.
Some guy from the audience yells out " Speak to us Ray, Say something to us" Ray walks over by him and says
" what the fu#K do you think i have been doing for the last hour"

    BRILLIANT!!

I love the latest release, God Willin and The Creek Don't Rise.
Arguably my favourite release of 2010.

I am going to agree still on my rotation. I can't get sick of it.

I'll have to put his latest cd on my short list- especially if it is the same caliber or better than "Trouble".

It's nice to see all his work start to pay off! I really hadn't paid much attention to him until his latest album got some airplay on stations I still listen to. I then picked up his other CD's. All of them of good.

Am listening to his "Trouble" CD right now. Dad discovered him sometime last semester, so I ripped the CD while I was at home over break. Dad's certainly very impressed. We'll see what I think soon enough!
