They are jumpers for those looking to upgrade the cheap stock jumpers that come with most speakers (that are bi-amp/tri-amp capable).

You'll notice your speakers(not sure about the LSi FX, but your LSiC should) have 2 sets of binding posts for bi-amping. If you choose not to bi-amp, signal/power from one set of binding posts travels down the jumper in place to the second set of binding posts on that speaker cabinet.

Your LSi25's though are a different story. You can't bi-amp those, the second set of binding posts is simply for your subwoofer to receiver signal (if you weren't using the line-in as posted on the other thread).

For revealing gear, some will hear a difference in upgraded jumpers as opposed to stock jumpers.

    Chris,

Read up on "Anti-Cables" to get a good understanding. Some people swear by them and they have received good reviews. Unfortunately, I've never heard them so I can't comment on their performance or SQ.

    Regards,

    Joe

Freddy or Chris please refresh my memory; are the 25's subs powered or passive or have an option for both?

Thank you Sir for the quick reply.

That being said, Chris, I believe you need to remove the jumpers when connecting the sub to you amp's sub outs. That is how I use my RT2000Ps and the subs shake items off the shelves. I also made it so that at the press of a button on my remote I can increase or decrease the gain going to the subs.

Anti-Cables sound awful as speaker cable but for jumpers I wouldn't really balk at $25/set....or is that a pair? I don't know but at least it's not crazy. Signalcable, BJC and MIT all make jumpers as well...you just have to ask.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
