I'm looking at 5- channel amps just to keep it simple. Although if I got a 3- channel for really cheap, I could have my Pioneer 23 handle the rears.

Good solid amp. Good price if the amp is is great condition.

Same sound quality and build quality as with most of the vintage HCA series from Parasound.
I ran a 1205A using a Denon AVR3806 as a pre for nearly a year. I noticed a pretty big improvement in sound quality compared to just running my speakers off the Denon AVR. The 1205A sounded good with movies and music. Treble and bass were both good. All-in-all a pretty solid amp. Since then I upgraded to a Bryston because I tried it and liked that more.

My only issue with the 1205A was that it emitted more EMI than I liked. I had to keep the signal cables away from the transformer or I would get hum.

I have the amp at home. It weighs a ton and has 5 monoblocks inside powered by a giant toroidal transformer. THX ultra, 5 channel, 140w rms.

It biamped my RT-55s for a while, now it powers my Klipsch HT rig (like they really need the extra power, lol).

It's a good amp. I got mine for $200.... :) but that was because I basically stole it from someone off CL for that price and ran.41338_1505982486019_1127994667_31478503_7832011_n.jpg

I dont think the seller wants to go that low. Does this amp drive your whole system? Are you looking to upgrade or is it a "keeper"? So is it powerful then?

It drives my whole system fine. All my main theater speakers are Klipsch, with the mains at 99db sensitivity it powers the hell out of them.

They biamped my RT55's for a while and did an amazing job.
