Best way to connect SACD/DVD-Audio

Need some imput on the best way to connect my Yamaha DVD-2700 all-in-one player. Some of the reading up I've done tells me to use the analog multi chammel connections, but why then is there an option for TOSLING and COAXIAL?

Can I run SACD and DVD-Audio through these outputs and still benefit from the format?

If I run SACD via coaxial 5.1 should the output be in stereo or multi channel?

Lastly, is HDMI v1.1 strictly for video or will this pass an audio signal such as SACD and DVD-Audio?

    SACD can't be transfered via toslink or coax.

    So I wonder what's the point of the digital outputs? Must be for the DVD soundtracks???
