$100 to your door.

The worlds best sounding, ugliest Dynaco PAS preamp out there. Sounds AMAZING, I just don't like looking at it anymore! All tone controls and switches were removed, and new dual mono volume control pots installed. You still have use of all inputs, including phono, along with the power switch. New caps in the power supply.

It's amazing how good these old Dynaco's can sound, once you get all the extra garbage out of there. Sold in full working order, as photographed - 2 matched pair of high test GE tubes installed.

What are you waiting for? Slap it in your own chassis, or keep her as a sleeper like I did! Paypal is a GO.

Cheers,
Russ

Had one of these bone stock a year or so ago and it sounded simply amazing (with orignal Dynaco tubes that are actually Telefunken's). I think I paid $180 and sold it a few months later for $235 to a guy in Singapore.

Dang, $100 shipped is a smokin' bargain and if I had the space I would add this to my collection.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Yep, me too. I PM'd to find out what tubes were involved and by the time I got back to the forum it was too late. My un-modded one sounded great so I can only imagine how good this little diamond in the rough sounds.

You can also upgrade the boards to make them really sing.

Those things can be modded to the hilt.

I am really looking forward to hearing this pre I had a PAS 3 years ago and am sorry I got rid of it, if it sounds as nice as I think it will I will moast likely build a case for it so it is more presentable perhaps out of wood with holes cut for the volume knobs etc.

Thanks for the dibs! I don't know why I didn't grab this when Russ first put it up.
I would love to take another pair of tubes off your hands. Send whenever you get around to it and I'll drop you some $. Thanks!

I hear ya'. I was at inlaws and was using Blackberry to check in. Took far too long to realize that I could sign in and post from the Blackberry. Now I know!

I was thinking same thing. It would take a matter of minutes to zap out a new faceplate on the Laser at work.
