    On "The View" this morning (and no, I'm not a regular viewer :rolleyes:), they brought out Elton John and Leon Russell.

    I watched that segment and gained a lot more respect for Elton John.
    Leon Russell is not in very good shape; he had a hard time making it up 2 sets of steps to the interview couch. His mind is still razor sharp, though.
    Listening to Elton John speak, and watching him as Leon Russell spoke, it looked like a case of an old, well-to-do friend doing a little something extra for an old friend that hadn't shared in the same success.

    Poor description, to be sure, because that sounds like a charity case. It was ..... nice.

    "So, Leon; when Elton, whom you hadn't spoken with for 30+ years, called you from London what did you think ? What were you doing ?"

    "Well, Whoppee, when Elton called from his castle estate, I was sitting on the couch watching re-runs of "Days of Our Lives".

    .... and he said it with a wry smile. :)

    Hope "The Union" fairs well in the marketplace.
