Receiver comparison trigger pulling time

I am pretty much down to a Rotel RSX 1067 and a NAD T773. I've own/ed both Rotel and NAD but not an AVR.
My HTR is used 90% for movies, 8% for DVD concerts and 2% for 2 channel music.
I am using the OPPO-BDP-83 as only source. I do run cable TV through the AVR (but not really concerned about that use).
Would like to hear from anyone who has owned, heard or heard of hearing either of the above units. I like my movies to be reasonably loud, screaching metal to sound like screaching metal, wind in the trees to sound like wind in the trees and dialogue to be clear ab d understandable...not too much to ask.
The Rotel will run about $300 more and also sold for about that much more.

What happened to the Pioneer 49TX? I don't think you would be disappointed in that unit. Not sure what the cost difference between these two units and the pioneer but if I could get the pioneer cheaper,I would seriously consider it. Haven't heard either units but the Pioneer Elite SC series is one heck of a unit.

Thanks....the reason I paused on the Pioneer is that it has far more in it than I need. I use the AVR only for audio and only for 5.1 with no sub. The 49TXi reviews made it sound like one had to have a lot of time to work with all of the options...I was gonna go with the Rotel, but the owner wouldn't do much on price....maybe sit tight for awhile....
The SC line is a bit pricey even used since they are new...this would be as backup to my separates...or occasional alternative...I've headr a lot of combinations of separartes but only Denon, Yamaha and Rotel receivers. -
