I'm looking for advice on cables/interconnects for my amplifiers --> receiver to amp cables.

Currently I have a mix of Emotiva X-Series Digital/Coaxial Cable and (I think) Philips RCA cable....
I was wondering what others have that is of good quality, but doesn't cost $100/foot. Appreciate any feedback

Thanks!
Shaun

I agree, Monoprice interconnects are junk, but their HDMI cables work well most of the time.

I just bought some MIT interconnects from:

    http://www.usedcable.com/category.aspx?iid=212

They're a division of the Cable Company.

Products seem legit and the prices are pretty good.

Tor13 thanks for this link. Did the condition descriptions seem pretty accurate for the cables you purchased? They do have pretty good prices, beats most of what I have seen on AGon and without the dickering involved.

I purchased the MITs last week, so I'm still awaiting for their arrival.

Before buying the MITs I purchased some cheep speaker wire just to see if it was "as described." It was, which has given me confidence in buying some higher priced items.

Once the MITs get here I'll throw you a message.

*Outfitter, I also remembered you had some interest in the Sunfire Cinema Grands...they're going pretty cheap right now on ebay -- two went for $600 last week on ebay.

    Outfitter,

Here's a picture of the packaging from UsedCables.com.

    Everything appears legit.

Prior to connecting the MITs I had generic interconnects (like the ones that come with your receiver) connected between the CD Player, receiver, and amplifier.

After I switched everything out, to my ears at least, I heard a significant improvement in clarity. It made the regular RCAs sound "masked" -- almost as if it took more energy to push my CRMs. Perhaps it's the placebo effect.

Regardless, I enjoy the sound and think the price was a steal.

    Good luck to you!

those look very different in the packaging and cable from my AVT3's which I bought from MIT directly.

I tried to find my packaging however that is a lost cause seeing its in a closet somewhere. I will get a photo of the cable's though...

    packaging was like this:

best I can do for tonight. Maybe they are a really old version, IDK but they are different. I purchased these from the MIT express store start of this year.

    Ahhhhh man.....

That packaging and cables look completely different!!!

I'm hoping, really really hoping, that these are the newer version or older version.

Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Thanks C for the input. Much appreciated.

Ditto on Blue Jeans. White Zombie are also an EXCELLENT cable & the company if very customer-oriented. White Zombie are a little higher in price.

Let you know what they say.

Did some quick searching around on the Internet and noticed that the Cable Company is in fact an authorized dealer. I probably should have checked this before making the purchase...

Man, BJC has a huge following over here. I'm gonna have to try them out one of these days.

As if anybody cares, I was able to get in contact with a rep from MIT. He stated that the cables pictured are actually the American manufactured MIT interconnects that they sell when they run out of their Chinese manufactured interconnects (which are also pictured in this thread).

Interestingly enough, he said that the American manufactured interconnects "actually sound better" than the Chinese interconnects. I was surprised by his comment, but than again...when isn't American made better?

    Just an FYI.
