I scanned the listing fast and thought you were saying you would trade it for a digital tuner or a wife! :D

That's a mighty fine tuner at a great price.

Have you got the rack handles for it, by any chance? Nice tuna! A near visual match to the TA-500 receiver I just bought--the black faceplate/ivory dial is so beautiful, IMO. Good luck with sale.

Very nice tuna...but I've got to ask Shes going to like holding a button down to tune her station? I don't get ? get her a yamaha tx930 and set it to the .10 fine tuning setting she be spinning that dial all day to get to her station. She have you set that back up in no time :):D

The TX-930 has 24 station presets, so why would his wife be spinning the dial?

BTW, very little difference between the TU-517 and the well known TU-717. Nearly identical on the inside. These tuners are stellar with a few mods and an alignment.

I'm tempted, but right now, I'm trying to thin down the heard and I'm doing fine with my Sony SA5ES tuner.

The handles alone generally bring $50 on eBay and you should consider listing them separately.

Exactly halfway down this page at http://www.classicsansui.net/Tuners.htm, the publisher describes and shows images documenting how close this TU-517 is to the 717 which is one of the top rated sounding tuners out there.

    Someone should jump on this.

and for a very reasonable investment http://www.radioxtuners.com (on fmtunerinfo.com's recommended list) you can have this rig made to run with the biggest dogs on the planet that sell for 10+ times the money!

I may be interested...couple of questions:
    - Do all lights work?
    - How wide is it with the rack handles installed?
    - Has it been serviced or had an alignment?

Thanks for your time. I do have a Denon TU-1500RD that I would consider trading. It is remote controllable and also displays the name of the stations and songs. Really sweet tuner that is rated very high at FM tuner.com.

    Thanks for your time.
    Eric.

well someone has to set the pre-sets first so yes someone would have to spin the tuning dial. By the way it was a joke:D::p

Looking at the spec sheet I answered one of my own questions about the width with rack handles.

Can you answer the other 2 questions?
    Thanks!:)

I'll take it. Let me know if you want to trade or you just want the $100. The Denon is worth a bit more than $100, but I'll still trade to a Polkie.:)
    Thanks,
    Eric.

    To the original poster,
Like Conradicles, I would jump on this right now if you had a PayPal account. I'd even pay the extra for shipping.

Email me if you wind up getting one and want to sell this. mmcgill829@gmail.com.

    Great deal
