Here is some interesting trivia about the 225:

    World's Most Infamous Vehicles1966 Buick Electra 225
Event: Near decapitation of Jayne Mansfield
    Year: 1967
Jayne Mansfield's prodigious bosom defined her career as a Hollywood bombshell, but her head was her undoing. After an engagement at a Biloxi, Miss., nightclub, Mansfield, her then-lover Sam Brody, a driver and three of her children set out for New Orleans along U.S. 90. Early in the morning, the Buick they were riding in crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer, which sheared most of the top off the Buick. Mansfield and the other adults riding in the front seat were killed instantly; the children riding in the back survived. After the incident, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration started to require an underride guard on the backs of tractor-trailers, which is often referred to as a "Mansfield bar."

if you like to float down the road and do the full lean in turns than these are your babies.. I got this when my kids were small and used it to take them to all of their games and such, we also did some cruise nights with it as well as some old fashioned drive ins. Right now they all want me to hang on to it because they want it for their kids. Hopefully there will still be gasoline for them to put in it when I do give it to them.

Nice ride THEJERMON good luck with the sale.

As far as Buicks go, that Rivera was hard to beat, no matter what year it was. They just had a look all their own.

    Hello Everyone,
I have decided to enter my 66 Buick into a car auction Saturday, June 5h here in St. Louis, MO. Here's the link. It will be auctioned off Saturday prime-time.

    http://motoexotica.com/auction.htm

I appreciate the nice comments from everyone here in the forum.
The car is still for sale right here if anyone is interested in making me an offer before the auction. You can also bid on it at the auction or online, but remember, at the auction, you pay a buyers commission fee of 6%. I have set the reserve quite low because I want it to go to a new home. It will be at the Auction Thursday evening June 3rd and stored indoors until it rolls across the block to it's new owner Saturday June 5th. Wish me luck! Thanks. Jerry

BTW, I appreciate this forum very much. That being said, the 100 post minimum sucks for new posts IMHO. Especially for someone who has been a member of this forum for a couple years. Make it 50 or something.... Just my .02 worth.
