Integrated EL34 Tube Amp - The Commander

I am upgrading to an all SET tube based system, so I must say farewell to "The Commander" by Suppo Audio. This EL34 based, 35 watts per channel push-pull vacuum tube amplifier wondering drives everything from Klipsch horns to Polk LSi speakers. It has a great tube sound that is detailed, and a little recessed. This beauty has two RCA inputs, and outputs for 4 and 8 ohm speakers, as well as selectable voltage if you ever need that option. One of the best features of the amp is that the output tube bias is adjustable so that you don't have to use a matched quad of tubes The tube complement is one NOS Telefunken Mazda 12AT7 and a matched pair of NOS GE 6FQ7/6CG7 signal tubes with a quad of Shuguang EL34 output tubes, all sounding great with great life left. The amp also comes with tube dampers for the EL34s and three extra Shuaguang signal tubes for back-ups or tube rolling, and IEC power cord. Even though this amp is only available as a DIY kit from Joe at Suppo Audio, he custom built this one for me, making it exact to his design with excellent build quality. This is the perfect, budget, audiophile integrated tube amp which was made with quality parts including polypropylene capacitors and an ALPS volume pot. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions. $450 plus actual shipping or pick-up

Is this the Silver or Plat. edition?
It is a beautiful amp. -
It started as the Silver Edition, but then I upgraded to a NOS Telefunken Mazda 12AT7 and a matched pair of NOS GE 6FQ7/6CG7. The output tubes are still the stock Shuguang standard EL34s, but the improvement in sound quality is stunning with just the swap of the new signal tubes.

That gear reminds me a bit of CJ stuff...just the fascia portion. Cool piece.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Thank you sir! I'm hoping that your speakers and the Commander will become great freinds!? Doing this purchase instead of seperates, should leave enough room to finally get a seperate DAC.
..... ><////(*> -
fishbones, that Jolida 100A CD Player that Scott has for sale here has your name on it.
-
haha, too funny - I saw that, I'm turning into mole here with all the gear I'm buying up around here
....but I think, that a seperate DAC with my PD65 would be a better combo than the Jolida CDP alone? But, I am just assuming....? That is a nice looking player! ..... ><////(*> -
You may be correct...

I also have my Primare player available I'd be willing to give you a heck of a bundle deal Troy.

Thanks, but I do like my PD65. My goal at this time would be just to add the DAC...... ><////(*> -
