Item Description
Up for sale is my used Parasound HCA-2200mkII amplifier. I bought this amp from a fellow forum member, Mike (mdschlayer), about a year ago now and have been using it to drive my SDA SRS's - it has done a truly fantastic job. However, I am currently considering heading down an "all tubes" route and need to fund that journey so this needs to go.
Specifications
250 watts RMS x 2, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 8 Ω
385 watts RMS x 2, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 4 Ω
385 watts RMS x 2, 20 Hz-20 kHz, 2 Ω
50 amperes continuous, 90 amperes peak per channel
More info can be found on Parasound's website:
http://www.parasound.com/vintage/hca2200.php
Condition
The amp has one minor scratch on the top plate near the back of the unit (see pic below) but otherwise appears to be flawless. Also, the right channel occasionally takes approximately 30 seconds (and sometimes as long as one minute) to "warm up" to output sound consistently, but once it has, there are absolutely no issues with it. To put this into perspective, by the time I turn the amp on, grab the Squeezebox remote and turn that on, the amp is ready to go. Or, if you're like a lot of people here, you can just leave the amp on 24/7 and you'll never notice it. Regardless, I just wanted any potential buyers to know - more information below.
Price
$550 shipped to the lower 48

(Taken from the original ad when I bought this because I don't know where my camera is at the moment - thanks for the photography, Mike!)

Further Details on Right Channel
I've spoken with the techs at Parasound about this many times and they say that this is very common on the unit but in no way harmful to the amp. They said it is likely just a solder joint on the speaker relay that has oxidized and that they wouldn't bother with replacing it unless it is really bugging me. If it ended up being a speaker relay instead of a solder joint on it, Parasound said the parts would cost ~$45 for one relay or $90 if I wanted to have the relays on both channels replaced while they had it. Honestly, though, the amp has had this issue since I got it, hasn't gotten worse, and I don't even notice anymore because I'm using my Squeezebox and it's always ready to go by the time the remote has turned on.
Any other questions, please shoot me a PM.
Thanks for looking!

Forgot to mention that I'm also open to creative payment plans for people who may want the amp but can't afford it in one big chunk at the moment (e.g., 2 or 3 payments for the amp spread across a month or two).
If anyone is interested in doing something like this, let me know and we'll try to work something out.
Thanks!

Local pickup in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for $500 even.
I'm also headed south to Des Moines this weekend so if you're in that area or anywhere along I-35 on the way, we could set up a drop-off.

2 questions. Did you have to strap the negs on this when using this on the SDA's or is it common ground and 2 do you have the original box for shipping or is it an after market?
Thanks! -

Nope, I do not have to strap the grounds together when running it with my SDA's (it is a common ground amp).
I picked up the amp from a fellow polkie here, mdschlayer, and I believe he double-box shipped it to me, although I don't believe either box was the "original" Parasound box (I'd have to check to be sure, though).
