Need advice: Onkyo TX-NR808 or 708?

Hello all,
New Polk owner and new comer to AV here!
I would like to seek help to decide which to choose between NR808 and NR708. My understanding after struggling through the specs of the two models is that the 808 has two HDMI outs while the 708 has only one. The 808 is a little bit more powerful than the 708. Other than that I couldn't see any other differences.
My speakers are LSi9 (only a pair for now:o). And I have a Rotel RB-985. So as far as power goes the extra in 808 is not really a plus toward 808. The extra HDMI out is also not something that I see myself wanting for now.
Based on the above, it seems I should just go ahead with the 708 to use together with the Rotel RB-985. However, one thing I'm not clear: are the 808 and 708 equal in their acoustic presentation? If yes, then I definitely would go with 708 as the price difference between the two is rather large here in China, with the 708 selling for about 1,000 USD and the 808 about 1,300 USD.
Oh by the way, I use the set up for music 60% of the time and watching TV/Movie the rest if that makes a difference.

The 708 will do just fine since you're running an external amp.

Thanks for the reply! Do you know if their pre amp quality is the same? Do they process sounds the same or the difference is negligible in that regard? I would't mind paying up for the 808 if the sounds it produces is significantly better...
