Need Reciever Input

Greetings everyone - New member here, glad to be a part of the group. I recently purchased the following speakers below. I have them hooked up to a 10 year old 5.1 Sony Reciever... not sure of the model since I am at work right now. Reciever has some major issues and keeps shutting off and I'm not sure if it even does these speakers any justice. Looking for some thoughts or ideas on a new reciever for my new system. I have been eye-balling the Pioneer VSX-1020-K from Newegg and today is the last day of the sale. Seems like a decent unit for $400 and that's pretty much my budget right now. If I can get a much better reciever for a $100 - $150 more I might be able to swing it... since I hate buyers remorse. Any help is definitely appreciated and thanks in advance.
