I recently acquired the wood topped 2B's and converted all the TL'd hardware from these into them. I now have returned these back to 100% stock, and in good working order. They have inserts on the bottoms of the cabinets for spikes (1/4-20 thread) but I do not have any extra spikes. I drilled the platform back in for now, but they perform better with spikes. I have the Pin/Blade interconnection cable, and boxes. I am asking $225 for the set.

I am located in the Cleveland,OH area, but traveling to Chicago this week if anyone locally out there is interested. I leave Tuesday morning, so you'll have to let me know soon. PM me if your interested!

They look like the same version and finish as my SDA 2B's--That's a great price. I'm in the process of upgrading mine now, but even stock they still sound awesome and for that price it's a no brainer IMHO. Going on a road trip BlueComet?

Yeah, I though Studios were black vinyl. I'm not positive, but I thought the wood grain models were slightly heavier and the more expensive version.

Didn't know that they made 2B's with the kickplate, thought it was only the 2A's...

These are indeed the later Studio version in a walnut look and not black. I saw markings saying 1989 when switching the components. They are not real wood, those have the "wood topped" look. Rest assure, these are not modified 2a cabinets and are true SDA-2B.

No plans to pass through Cinncinati right now, but you never know down the road. I do travel quite a bit. Pick-up gets them first though....ha ha You know how that goes:)
