what amp to match the rti a7
hi all
i own a pair of lsi9's paired with a denon pma1500 amp for a stereo set up. sounds fantastic, very happy with it. we just bought a new plasma and are looking to buy a sound system for it.
i went to a local hifi store which had the polk rti a7's, they sounded fantastic, but the sales assistant warned me they would be very difficult to drive and the yamaha 1050 (which i was potentially going to buy, at a very discounted price) would be no good.
i'm on a bit of a budget so having to buy a different amp on top of the rti a7's would have become too expensive. i then had a look at their current promotion, which was a mission speaker pack with pioneer receiver and blu ray player: http://www.bigpicturepeople.com.au/promotionaloffers1.html ... selling for $3600 which seems pretty cheap... but i'm not really sure if i want a full 5.1 channel set up at this stage.
ideally i'd like two good quality floorstanders that can stand alone without a sub woofer, and maybe look at getting a centre speaker too. so i was thinking the rti a7's, i just need to know which receivers are a good match.

Over priced if you ask me especially since they are offering Bose in some of those packages at 6k-7k prices. I'll bite and see if I can do better. Let's shop Polk's Direct Ebay store in which most items have the Buy it Now option.

So that's around 1600 for speakers +sub, so roughly 1800-1900. Factor in this Pioneer which will give you the latest and greatest
