Finally got everything up and running (pics)
I've been in the process of moving across the country, and it seemed like a good time to upgrade all my equipment. I've replaced pretty much everything except the TV and finally got it all set up this morning. Pics aren't great, too much light and don't have any curtains yet.

Main speakers are Polk Monitor 60's in cherry. The center is a Monitor series II CS1. If you look very closely you can see the PSW505 sub in the corner on the left. My wife's giant teddy bear sitting on top of it.

Monitor 30 (also series II) surround. I really like these, makes me wish my Monitor 60s had the same color scheme. All my speakers came from Newegg.

Receiver is a Denon AVR-591. Still ironing out some HDMI/firmware issues but I love it. Big upgrade from my old Pioneer. TV is a Samsung 42" plasma that is a few years old, but I like it so much better than any of the newer designs I see that I didn't bother to replace it. Also picked up a new Sony Bluray to replace my cheapo Magnavox, and got a Sony 5-disc multichanger on closeout.

Very nice set-up. Your lucky. It should look and sound great!
But personally I would put the Bluray on top of the changer and center that center channel . I think the front soundstage would sound Alot better.
I'm just picky about my own center channel placements, that's all.:pMost people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

how do these speakers sound with just the receiver power? The fact that you have a sub, definitely helps I'm sure!Living Room 7.1 HT Rig:

The Bluray is on top of the changer. Bottom shelf on the left. The piece you see to the right of the center channel is a DirecTV receiver.
I am certainly open to any suggestions to improve things, which is why I posted pics. I'd love to put the center channel in the middle but there's no other place to put the satellite receiver and I still haven't even hooked up my 360 yet.
I was planning to mount the TV to the wall which would give me a lot more options with the TV stand. But that's obviously a problem with the window there, and it's the only usable place to put everything. Thankfully my lease will be up in 6 months. -

The speakers are pretty efficient which obviously helps. The Denon has a pretty good amp section, obviously not as good as separates but more than enough for my listening/viewing area which is about 10 feet wide by 8 feet long.
For home theater they are great...for music I find them a little lacking. Male voices sound nasally, and midbass is a little weak. At some point in the future I plan on getting a separate two-channel setup with an NAD amp and Wharfedale towers. -
Nice setup. Is it possible for maybe a bigger entertainment stand so you can center the speaker with all the other electronics you have ? Otherwise, if it sounds good to you - that's all that matters.I should've listened way back in 2008, they told me I'd go broke... they were right

You need a riser to put the TV on, which would allow your center speaker tp be centered under the TV.Sunfire Theater Grand IV

interesting, that was just like my experience when I only had the m60's hooked up to my onkyo. This is just a speculation, but I think those speakers are meant for bigger rooms, so they don't queit sound "full" in smaller quarters. Either way, they do sound very clean and clear and really awesome for HT, i agree.Living Room 7.1 HT Rig:

This one was built by the company that I had build my cabinet. I have another one I bought from a guy out in Colorado. He did a great job. PM me, if you are interested in it. It's made for a CSi A6, so it's pretty big.Sunfire Theater Grand IV

Here's another solution for mounting the tv without putting holes in the wall:
