Does anyone else on these forums have one of these? I can't seem to find any concrete reviews anywhere, pioneer doesn't even have it listed on their site anywhere, and i've seen at least 3 posts from people on other forums saying that you can never find them, and no one knows about them.

It's a VSX-50 reciever with a DV-50A DVD player.

I don't have the remote or manual, and i'm trying to decide if it's even a good enough unit to bother. Seems to sound pretty decent on my VS-25s, and that's with zero tweaking of anything, because you can't do much without the remote. I would really like to move one of my S8s to the bedroom setup, and i have a feeling i'm going to need the remote to activate the sub output...

Basically.... your thoughts. If anyone has touched them. I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be like my VS-25s and nobody really know anything about them/have experience with them. I don't know how i end up with this unknown stuff.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

    Haha, thanks. :)

I'm actually using this unit in my garage now. I just have to stop getting lazy and get a remote for it so i can access everything. Can't do much with it besides turn it on and mess with volume without the remote. Drives my old Infinitys pretty decently, though.

Bump from the dead. Do you still have the receiver part? I am in need of a small unit like this. How do you like yours?

I actually sold it about 3-4 months ago to Coolsax. I think he bought it for the same reason, that it was small and generated no heat.

I loved it for a simple HT setup. It was plenty powerful, nice and punchy, it did everything i would have expected to. Sounded great if fed digital signal, and decent on analog. I ended up buying both remotes and manuals for the setup, and it really let me see what it was capable of.

If you're just looking for the receiver portion, the model number is VSX-50.

I'd shoot Coolsax a PM, i think he's probably used it more than i ever did. :)

Yeah I use it every day in the family room where we watch most of our tv... I really like it for the size b/c the tv stand's shelf is just tiny. I'm actually just using it in two channel atm but that's all I really need in that room anyway.
