just trying to get an idea of what I have before i open her up.
Apparently this has 2 xo's in it and was wondering if you Can you access them both through the binding post plate or do you have to remove the passive woofer ?
I glanced at the schematic, but was kind of hard to read on this computer, does anyone happen to know the values of the caps off hand ?
And last but not least. I have seen some pictures of an upgraded xo but could not find the link to the post. Looked like they removed the ceramic or tantalum cap ( I forget which one it was now)and put in a jumper wire ?
I tried searching the forum using "SDA-2" upgrade etc, but the search engine does not care for that and i could not find anything.
Thanks for any info and pointing me in the right direction

Pull the passive off. Much easier access and it's not wired, so a simple on/off.

What he said ^ and once you pull them out you will find all the values printed on the caps/resistors. Simple, eh!

I was hoping to acquire the caps before I opened them up. I sort of like to do things in one swell swoop.

    If there 2bs you will need a 40uf, a 20uf, and a 12uf, and a 2.7ohm resistor----each.

In my experience it's been less frustrating to open em' up first--sometimes you will find a surprise,,hopefully not though,,I always take a peek first.:)

I use to sport a different sig than I do now. It went like this, "Piss Poor Planning Leads To A Piss Poor Performance." In other words, don't be lazy.
