i just picked up a new Denon 2311ci. works good so far. but a lil low on the power output. i did not know it does not come with Pre Outs for an ext Amp. so long story short, i wanna get another AVR that has Pre outs.
im looking at the Onkyo 708, 808 and 807.
or just trade in my 2311ci and get the 3311ci

I'm sure you've seen it already, considering your unbelieveable buying habits, but there is an Onkyo 707 for sale in the classifieds. It would be a nice step up from your Denon and the price is pretty good.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for the info man
gonna look at the specs on this
do you think that AVR is an upgrade from my current 2311ci? i see that it has the needed pre outs for an amp.mole' -
well, it has the preouts, which you need. It's similar in power to your Denon, so not much of an upgrade there. The only thing really different is the video section. Your Denon has HDMI 1.4 while the Onk only has 1.3. This shouldn't be an issue unless you're planning to go 3-D. All in all it isn't much of an upgrade, but it has the features you're looking for, and the price is pretty good. You should be able to get what he's asking for the Onk for your Denon, so it would be a pretty decent trade. Either that or hold out for something a little more current. im liking the Denon so far. looks like the Marantz has nothing that the 3311ci has. and both are the same price.mole'

I would get the Marantz over the Denon. It's the only Brand i would consider (other than Arcam of course)if i had to go back to a reciever. I had a Denon 3805 and liked it a fair bit but i was so jealous over my brother in law's Marantz sr6300. That thing sounded awesome! I say get one that fits your budget and connectivity/feature needs, and be done with it. You'll research, read reviews, opinions, and spec sheets until you go blue in the face. And that whole time you could be enjoying a system...
I'm all too guilty of doing the same thing, so learn from those actions for me. -
anyone wanna buy my Denon 2311ci thats less than a month old now???mole'

Call around to some places to see if they still have a Pioneer SC-05...may be able to get one for a good price new. I personally would be a little squirelly about buying a used AVR, but thats just me. I researched the heck out of AVRs and ended up with a SC-05 - have not had one issue/regret with this purchase yet...:)
