Local Los Angeles only: Epik Castle

I have an Epik Castle that I've owned for one year for sale. It's been in excellent working condition since day one. My room is 3200+ cubic feet with two large openings that lead to a room twice that size with cathedral ceiling and this sub is more than enough for that space. Ask my neighbors :) I've bottomed out 5 subs on War of the Worlds. Not this one. I'm reading peaks of 110+ dB on the alien emergence scene and decided to stop because the lights were rattling violently... on the second floor.

I've been absolutely satisfied with it and only selling to try something else. I still have the original packing foam and box but I will not ship due to the weight and size. So this will have to be a local pick up in the Los Angeles area. Please bring a truck. This beast weighs 120 lbs and is the size of a small fridge (26"H x 18"W x 26"D inches (27"D with grill) It will not fit in an Accord. Trust me. I tried.

It did not come with neither an instruction manual nor a power cord so you have to supply your own PC. $900

Would love to try a Epik sub out, missed out on dual conquest for sale in LA for 50% MSRP.

    Good luck with your sale.

Price drop to $875 - that's lower than the price of a brand new Sentinel shipped to LA, and you get twice the output. I will also throw in a power cord to sweeten the deal.

So $875 cash and local pick up in the Los Angeles area only and you get the sub, power cord, original box, packaging foam (and the plastic cover too if you want it :))

Be patient, it took me a little while to sell a SVS and then a JL, but found local buyers.

It's a great sub and they aren't making any more of them. Hang tight for awhile, it's hard to sell big ticket items at close to their real value. What are you changing it out for?

It's by far the best sub I've ever owned and has stayed in my system the longest out of all the other components. I can hear that 15" Rythmik sealed servo sub calling my name and I can't answer until the Castle is sold :)

I understand that I would be losing significant amount of output. There is just no way a smaller sealed sub can compete with a larger ported design in this department, but I am so curious that I just had to give it a try and hope that I won't regret this decision later

Certainly, there's nothing wrong with going smaller and sealed. You will be taking one heck of a hit on output and from what I'm told the Castle is a great sounding sub. I've heard the 12" Rythmik kit sub. For music it's a perfect example of less is more, meaning you notice the sub in it's absence not performance. For HT it's good, but not amazing. The 15" should get you closer to that. When this happens be sure to do a comparison.

absolutely, while I am not expecting a night and day difference between the two subs it's taking these kind of risks that makes this hobby so much fun!

The upgrade bug has bit again so this sub is back on the market for $800. Local pick up in Los Angeles is preferred but since I still have the original box and packing material I will entertain all offers to ship.

FYI, this sub weighs 120 lbs out of the box and is the size of a small fridge. It will easily topple small children and animals at reference levels. Shipping would probably be in the neighborhood of $125 - 150 depending on where you are.

I'd give it an 8/10. A couple of tiny nicks here and there from moving it around but not noticeable from 2-3 feet away

If it helps, I'll be going home soon to Northern California coming through Southern California from Texas (passing LA along the I-5) if someone wanted me to pick it up for them.

Edit: Just noticed the first post, it's pretty damn big  but I think it'd fit since the rear seating can be taken out.

I should be leaving Texas either this coming Saturday or Monday morning so it'd take me a little while before I hit California. If anyone's near the Monterey Bay area and wants this, I should be able to swing it for them.
