This is my first forum post. I want to thank all the contributors on this site that help make my purchase and setup of an ht system much easier. There is a wealth of information available here and I have spent many hours reading. I have had my system up and running for 10 days now.

I have purchased two Parasound amps listed in my signature. I would like to get a few backup fuses for each of these and the manuals do not give any specifics other than amperage ratings. I am assuming that they are most likely fast blowing 250v. I pulled one out of the HCA 750A, but the writing was too small for me to read without some sort of magnification beyond my reading glasses. (Clear glass, single small wire.) This one is rated 5 amps, hca 1200ii 10 amps.

Questions: Ratings to look for?
Any brand or type better than another?
Good online source. I live in a rural area?

Thanks again for the information shared on this forum!

Not seeing fuse myself, but from what you state. Clear glass single small wire, I would use a 5amp / 250v fuse myself if needed.

BTW with those amps I'm sure your system rocks. Very nice start. :)

I did some more google searching and found that the standard fuses are available at Rat Shack or Crutchfields etc. by mail order.

I did find some HiFi specific fuses at the cable company. They are pricey, as most specialty items are.

This is the link. Anybody with experience with any of these? The Furutech's TF look really interesting. These kind of goodies are probably overkill for my system but would be interesting to hear any feedback from others.
