I just got this through my parents United Airlines Frequent Flyer Rewards program, but I also just bought an iPad so I don't need it.

Apple model # is mc008ll/a (third generation 32 GB iPod Touch).

$250 shipped (USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation)

- Lower 48 states only (no P. O. boxes)
- Paypal transaction type must be Personal Payment Owed and funds must come from Paypal cash balance so I don't incur the 3% transaction fee.

iPod is brand new and never registered. Never got a receipt from United Frequent Flyer program, but I would guess (again, I say guess because I can't say with certainty) that warranty probably goes with serial number.

If you are asking about the Macbook Pro, it is about 7 months old (I am second owner and have barely used it in month or so since I bought it; did not register it on start up screens, so officially still registered to original owner). Most of what I have read says original 1 year warranty goes by serial number (though one person said it does not transfer), and you should I think be able to purchase extended Applecare, though it is recommended you do that a couple months before original warranty expires. Transferring of extended applecare from original owner apparently requires original documentation, but I have been told it goes via serial number for their computers.

One thread I found previously: http://forums.dealmac.com/read.php?4,2621131

If warranty is a very important issue, please do your own google research so you are satisfied on validity of transfer before purchasing, please.
