Let me give you the components that I already have:
Front Speakers: 2 RTi12 (500 wpc)
Center Speaker: 1 CSi5 (200 wpc)
Side Speakers: 2 FXi5 (150 wpc)
Rear Speakers: 2 RTi8 (250 wpc)
Subwoofer: PSW 505
As the AV Receiver, I'm planning to get the Pioneer VSX 1120 (not yet out there) (offers 120 wpc)
I need some advise from more experienced people (I new in this hobby) to select the best amplifier that would fit the components I stated above.
I was looking for a 5 channel amp with approx 20o wpc to combine with the AVR. I've done some research and the short list that I came up with is:
1- Parasound HCA-2205A
2- Rotel RMB 1095
3- Parasound 5250
I think I would be able to run the 2 front, center and 2 rear with the amp. The 2 front would be biamp with the AVR, and the 2 sides would be fed by the AVR (reducing the AVR load).
Really appreciate your comments.... Thanks in advance!!

Just run the whole system off the new external amp. I recommend a Sunfire, and for this price they can't be beat. They perform very well, stay cool and should run that setup no problem.

All your selections look good to me, so does the Sunfire. I'd only bi-amp the RTI-12s...the power amps should be enough for everything else IMO.
Looks like you've done your homework.
BTW, I like Parasounds, myself.

All the amp suggested will do the job just fine. And with that much power, biamping really isn't necessary.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

Thanks for the comments so far!!
Any other contribution to the question? Appreciate.... -
What do you think about the Emotiva XPA-5 (200 wpc). Is this comparable with the others? Would it be a better choice to get this "new" or any of the other "used" in good condition?

Any of the amps INCLUDING the Emotiva will get the job done in spades.
You will now get dozens of naysayers telling you to get ANYTHING other than the Emotiva.
It all comes down to what YOU are comfortable with. If you would feel better buying a brand new amp, then get the Emotiva & be happy, if you don't mind buying used, then get any one of the other 3 amps. All will do a splendid job.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
That Sunfire definitely looks good and there's no doubt a lot of fellow Polkies here who are very happy with them. I have to ask what kind of budget(we all have them) are you looking at to spend on the amp or amps?

Did they add pre-outs to the 1120? I don't think the 1020 had them...
