Im about ready to pull the trigger on a new SVS and was thinking of the SVS 20-39 PCi. The question I have is, how big is it really. It's hard to judge how big it is via the pic's I have been able to find. I am also curious as to the outside of the tube, how good is the material and does it collect dirt or is it hard to clean.

If the tube doesnt work for me I was thinking of getting the PB1. I know there would be a big difference in shape but what other differences would there be. Would the tube perform different than the box?

So does anyone have some pics of their 20-39 they could post that help show its true size?

I went with the 20-39 and I can tell you that in my room (20x20) it is hardly noticeable (except when called upon for active duty!!)after you get used to it. I've got mine positioned in a dark section of the room, and with the black exterior of the cylinder it really disappears. Obviously, the height is approx. 39". As far as the circumference, think of the floor tom that comes with a drum kit...it's about that big around. I wasn't overwhelmed with the size. In fact, I was expecting something a little bigger when I ordered it.

I haven't had it long enough to determine how much dust the exterior collects, but I would imagine it would collect as much as any other piece of furniture in the room. A quick vacuuming of it with an attachment should get it looking like new.

I'm very impressed with the 20-39...it really rocks the house and sounds great.

Yeah 16x39 I know that but when i put a tape to it, yes it seems big but not HUGE like I have heard. 16 seems avg to small for a sub while 39 is rather tall.

Here is the 20-39PC+ next to an RTi70.

The sub is larger than I expected, but completely worth it. I love it, my wife loves it. It does everthing it's expected to do.

The 20-39PC+ is a totally **** kicking sub that trolls deeper than sin. I hated to sell mine, actually.

Yeah, that's the new PB2+. It's floating around somewhere. I'd repost it, but Polk now prevents posting the same picture twice and makes you hunt for the original and hotlink it. I'm too lazy.

Yep, the good Doctor is a lucky guy!!

She's a good woman - I am very fortunate she puts up with me. It's gotta be the sub, because it can't be my winning personality.

    ;)

    Dr. Spec,

Any chance of your sub detonating those Federal boxes?
