Hello everybody,

i published last week that i wanted a good cd player and some of the nice people in the forum offered this three choices.

Please advice which of these would be the best choice to use as a cd player, the best sound of the three.

Both the oppo and the dvd2200 have an audio only option so it turns off any video function and focus on audio reproduction.

Both the oppo and the denon are priced the same, and the dcm 340 is about 30 dollars less.

Thank you all for helping out and if you have a cd player that considered a good choice please let me know.

Usually most people here who have Denons that they use as CD/SACD players usually run a DVD-2910 or the even better DVD-3910. The DVD-3910 sounds very good and can also be modded to sound 'even' better. I don't know much about the DVD-2200--that looks like a 'lower' model. You can get a 2910 refurbed for about 150 or so and the 3910 for 300+!

I haven't heard the Oppo...but a lot of people run them. Not sure if these older Oppos would be as good for CDs?
