Hello,
Has anybody out there experience replacing the fuse of a Rotel RB-1095 amp.
The reason I am asking this, because I need to change the fuse on my RB-1095, But when I open the amp, the fuses are difficult to access.
Any ideas in how to reach and replace the fuse will be appreciated.
Thanks

Supposedly the fuses are under the PCB, you may have to lift a board or two to access.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

can anybody tell me what is the difference between 2 types of fuse - aside from the amper rating. The ampere rating are the same , both are slow blow, one ia transparent and the other is not transparent.
I think they are the same, except one is transparent , which makes it easy to determine, if the fuse is blown.
If my assumption is correct, I can use either one of these fuse?
PS -I wanted to post a pciture of the two fuses, but it's asking me for a url, instead of just simply downloading the photo -
Transparent as you can see the internal wire that makes the fuse, the other so you can see it. Stick a mulitmeter in there and ohm out the fuses, and go from there. If it hard to access, use a mirror to determine location. You may have to extend your leads by using paper clips.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Hello Sherardp,
Hence, I can use either of the fuses as a replacement, as long it is the same ampere. -
Typically, the non-transparent [ceramic tube] is rated up to 250 volt.
The transparent [glass] is rated 32 volt, 9 amps thru 30 amps, but 250 volt
8 amps and below. This is assuming the fuse is the standard 1/4' x 1-1/4" size we
are so familiar with. Such as Bussman MDL and MDA series.SDA 2.3/RDO's... xovers by Ben

The box it came with states rated up to 250 volts. Both the transparent and the non-transparent.
yes, it is the standard size.
Then, I can use the ceramic fuse (tube) to replace the transparent fuse? -
What is the part number on the fuse itself or on the box the fuse came in?
Also. Do you know why the fuse blew?SDA 2.3/RDO's... xovers by Ben

I'm at work right now,
I'll check the box tonight.
Don't know the reason why the fuse blew -
OK. But basically the ceramic tube is for mechanical strength that allows for higher
interrupting capacities. Probably not critical in this application by any means.SDA 2.3/RDO's... xovers by Ben

Yeah, but which sounds better?
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
thru patience I was able to remove and check all of the fuses. Not of them were blown!
With hope I assembled back the amplifier, maybe this time sound will come out of the rear channel..... but nada, still no audio coming out of the rear channel.
What is the worst thing that can be the borken with it?
It's kind of impractical shipping this for repair. The thing weighs maybe 80 lbs.
