I need more amps!

Im really starting to get into the home audio world, and I think its time for some additional amps. I dont know what to get, as Ive never been in need of such things before. What should I do?
I just purchased Acoustic Research AR9's, the newer ones. They are bi-amp capable, and the 10" side firing subs are rated at 250w peak power. The subs themselves are not powered, so that is why I think I need an amp, or two.
My receiver is a Pioneer Elite, VSX-55TXI, and that is what I am planning to run the mids, and highs with.
So, do I need additional amp(s), because I think it would sound a lot better with them, and which types should I consider?
I can always provide additional info, if needed.
Thanks.

A budget for the amp would be helpful. Also i would get an amp and run everything off of it, not the bass driver on the amp and mids/highs on the Pioneer. This can cause problems.
If you really want to bi-amp you need to run two amps that are the same model so everything will be the same and no imbalances will come into play.Living Room Rig:D

From $200-$300. I am willing to go used.
So idea no. 1 is just wire both speakers into one separate amp? How come you cant wire the mids and highs in the receiver if they are separated?
Idea no. 2 makes sense, to use two of the same amps, but do I need two? I dont need to bi-amp, thats just what I thought would be a good idea. Thanks again.
Whats the smartest and safest way?

How much rms do those towers take, if you watch onkyo's website the sell direct from them a refurbished m282 i think they are called that gives you about 100 rms x 2 @ 8ohms.

Btw you could always go with a Emotiva Upa-2 which would be another good choice in your price range, these are both good picks if you dont want to buy a used amp.
