Just picked up an absolutely beautiful pair of Monitor 4's with Peerless tweeters today. These really do look new, and Ive never seen these tweeters look so good. These do have the hole in the center of the dome, so I dont know if that means these were american made Peerless or not. I found out these were owned by an older lady who had an old Sherwood rack system powering them.

I will post pics later or in the morning, btw I did pay $75 for them but in this condition and the Peerless tweeters, I dont think that is such a bad deal.
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

Very nice! Peerless tweeters are sweet.

I've always thought about setting up a Peerless Monitor HT setup as a secondary bedroom HT. I'd use my Peerless 7A's up front, and try to find a pair of Peerless 4's for surrounds. Then I'd have to make a center channel with a couple MW6500's and a Peerless tweet.:)

    Nice score!

The owner had sent me pictures of the drivers and their backs as I was thinking about it. Those are Peerless made in Denmark marked 7514__80 so they are from 1980

Leroyjr, I did see those but just dont have the extra cash or room for those monsters now. What do you think of the price he is asking for them?

Overpriced IMO. I'd offer him $175-$200. The PR's look different.

Those definitely aren't the original PR's. The original PR's for those don't come up for sale too terribly often either.

Having the original boxes and manuals is nice...but with the wrong PR's, $350 is way too high IMO.

I didnt think those looked like original PR's, never seen anything like them before. I will have to call this guy to see what he says.

They kind of look like some of the Dayton passive radiators that they have at Parts Express. Can't really tell for sure though.
